Chimerstry
Same as stated in
page 142-144 in Revised Laws of the Night, with the following clarifications
and additions.
- The effects of
any and all Chimerstry fade at sunrise.
- Chimerstry can be disbelieved by doing the following; finding a narrator,
make your case. The narrator will either give you challenges or hand down
a result.
- If a vampire is knocked out/ down with the power, all you have to do
is feed her some Vitae and in most cases will be up the next round.
Unless
the downed vampire in question would
not believe that the vitae will not wake her up. Worse case, the kindred
in question will be up the following night (if no harm happens to her
the interim).

Clan book page 61
What is Chimerstry
? Players and Storytellers alike are often uncertain as to what
Chimerstry actually represents and how it works. Another common
concern is that Chimerstry doesn't readily tie into the vampire
mythos. Bear the following in mind.
CHIMERSTRY
IS NOT OBFUSCATE:
Chimerstry can't make anything "invisible." Unlike Obfuscate, Chimerstry
does affect cameras, motion detectors and other technological sensing
devices (but won't trigger tripwires or pressure plates). Chimerstry
derives from the Ravnos' ability to visualize an image and bring
it to life and doesn't rely so much on the human mind's tendency
to fill in the blanks, at least not to the extent that Obfuscate
does.
DISBELIEF:
This is a tough one - just because a character knows that a Ravnos
can create illusions is not sufficient reason to disbelieve everything
a Ravnos does. If the Ravnos draws a kris from her purse , it very
well could be a real kris. Belief is not like a water faucet. Characters
can't simply turn it on or off at will. On the other hand, a completely
implausible illusion won't convince anyone. Either way, the fact
that someone has a good reason to disbelieve a Ravnos' Chimerstry
created images does not mean that those images will vanish. The
false nature of such images is obvious to any who can penetrate
the illusion, but the illusion will remain until it would otherwise
disappear.
HOW MUCH AREA
CAN CHIMERSTRY COVER?
As much as the storyteller deems reasonable. If a Ravnos want to
conjure an image of an ancient, chthonic, tentacled deity rising
from the ocean, he can. The illusion probably won't convince anyone,
but there's no reason the image will fail to appear.
HORRID REALITY
VS. HIGH AUSPEX:
Auspex and Chimerstry work against each other in the same manner
as Auspex vs Obfuscate.

Combination Disciplines:
SYMPATHETIC AGONY ( Chimerstry **, Fortitude ***)
The Kshatriya caste of India developed this power to shift the pain of
wounds inflicted on them to their enemies. Whenever the target strikes
a Ravnos using this power, the target feels the pain instead of the Ravnos.
This power enables Kshatriya to better survive their wounds more quickly
dispatch their enemies.
The Ravnos spends
one blood trait and engages in a social challenge (Intimidation retest)
against the target who must be with in 15 feet of the Ravnos and visible
at the time this power is deployed. If successful, the Ravnos may spend
one social trait per level of damage the target can potentially suffer
in her stead. This total number of traits committed to this endeavor must
be declared by the user immediately after the initial social challenge
is won.
If the victim possess
fortitude, it does not block the pain / wound penalties inflected with
this power, although mettle still gives an extra health level. This power
lasts for one hour, after which the pain and wound penalties returns to
the owner. This power may not be disbelieved.
