CHARACTER CREATION GUIDELINES:

Ghoul character creation rules are now available.

The Masquerade's Character Generation system assumes that the character has been active as a Kindred and/ or ghoul for 50 years or less! This means, by definition, that the character shouldn't be THAT old or powerful. To that end your character must have been embraced / ghouled AFTER this date.

You may not start with the merit "True Faith", however you may attempt to gain it through roleplaying of the character.

So you want to play a bloodline, nonstandard Clan, Tremere, Giovanni or anything else with a "Kewl Power"; for the most part we will let you give it a try.... However their are three conditions, see below. Additionally you must first submit a background/ character concept to determine the appropriateness of the character, for this game.

1. You may not teach the signature discipline of your character to another character.
2. Your player character may not reproduce without storyteller permission.
3. At the end of 5 playing session of playing your character, it is put to a vote by the narrator staff. A no vote means that you may not continue to play it (but still get the exp you acquired).

Status - Camarilla wide Status: (All purchases of Camarilla status MUST have prior approval by the Storyteller.) Camarilla wide Status may be bought at character generation using points from negative traits or flaws. The specific status trait will be chosen by the storyteller, however you can work with the storyteller to pick something that is appropriate for the characters background. Under no conditions can you purchase more than 3 status traits at character generation.

After character generation, you may only purchase Camarilla status when the storyteller decides that you can. We will contact you. The experience cost for each Camarilla wide status trait is 3 exp. Other Domain Status

Other Domain status (IE: San Jose domain status) may be on a 1 for 1 basis. This status is only effective within that domain or when dealing with persons from that domain. The rules for Camarilla wide status regarding time of purchase and limit apply to "Other domain" status. Santa Carla domain status can not be bought.
