The Path of the Ox and the Ass:

The Path of Enlightenment know as the Ox and the Ass has undergone several subtly but significant changes as it heads towards stability. Designed as a method maintaining a delicate balance between the duality inherent within he Sethian perception of the Set the God. The path originally appeared to have certain elements in common with Taoist and similar philosophies. As the Bloodline continues to evolve, however, the warrior-aspect of the Path has begun to emerge as the central driving force behind it.

Focusing on the God's earlier incarnation as the personification of harsh strength and animalistic survival instinct, the Path seeks to perfect the Sethian, both physically and mentally, preparing him for the day when he will lead his charges (the "chosen ones") to survival once Gehenna erupts and Set rises to overtake the Antediluvians and rupture the world as we know it. To a follower of the Path, those chosen by the Sethians to crate the Next Great Age must be protected until such time as they can stand on their own; nothing must prevent this destiny, especially not any weakness or inadequacy on the part of the Sethians themselves. There is some speculation as the Path continues to evolve along similar lines of the Path of the Warrior, the entire bloodline may eventually be subsumed by that branch of the Setite Clan, perhaps as a Gehenna Cult-oriented subgroup.

Path of the Ox and Ass Hierarchy of Sins:

5. Displaying a negative reaction to pain or physical hardship; placing one's own safety over that of a suspected Worthy/ chosen one.

4. Not allowing the beast to manifest in any situation where it's instincts are applicable (such as survival); not protecting a Chosen One from Harm.

3. Not killing a clear threat to one's survival, or the survival on one's charge(s) when the option is available; not seeking information regarding Gehenna or the worthiness of a potential Chosen one.

2. Succumbing to the temptations of the Path of Typhon; Not acknowledging the presence of one's Beast.

1. Harming a Chosen one or ones who is Potentially Worthy; Randomly Killing or killing for purposes other than survival or protection.
